How to Approve Supported Employee Time-Off Requests

This article will show you how to approve supported employee time off requests via the "Time Off Request Notification" email and the Global Work Platform™.

A user must have PTO Manager or Company Admin permission to approve supported employee time off requests.

Note: You must be logged in to the Global Work Platform™ to access the video.

Approving or Reviewing Time-Off Requests via the "Time Off Request Notification" Email

Each time a supported employee submits a time-off request for review, the supported employee's PTO Manager will receive an email titled "Time-Off Request Notification." The email includes an "approve" button, a breakdown of the requested dates, the notes provided by the Supported employee, and an overview of their current balance. PTO Managers can approve time off requests directly from the "Time Off Request Notification" Email.

Step 1. Open the "Time Off Request Notification" email.

In the email, you will have a Review or Approve button. Both of these options require you to sign in to the Global Work Platform. The difference is that the Approve button automatically approves, while the Review button allows you to reject.

Step 2. Login to the Global Work Platform™ to be redirected to the Time Off Request.

Step 3. The time off request will now be automatically opened.

It will appear as "Approved," or you can choose to "Reject." You can see the details and notes that were included in the email.

Approving and Reviewing Time Off Requests in the Global Work Platform™

Step 1. Login to the Global Work Platform™ and navigate to the Time tab.

If you have difficulty logging into the Global Work Platform™, please reference the "I'm having login issues" article.

Step 2. Under the Time Off Requests page, locate the time-off request you need to review.

You can search for time off requests by either searching for the supported employee's name or filtering the time off requests by "status".

Step 3. Click on the time off request to review the request.

Step 4. Click 'Approve' to approve the time off request.

Time off requests can also be approved by clicking the checkmark within the time off request line item.

Bulk Approving Time Off Requests in the Global Work Platform™

Step 1. Login to the Global Work Platform™ and navigate to the Time tab.

If you have difficulty logging into the Global Work Platform™, please reference the "I'm having login issues" article.

Step 2. Under the Time Off Requests page, check the box next to the time off requests you need to approve.

To select all time off requests, check the box at the top of the column of check boxes.

Step 3. Click the Approve button located within the callout section at the top of the Time Off Requests page.

Step 4. Click the Approve button in the "Approve Request" pop-up.

The time-off request status will now be "Approved".

PTO Managers can submit time off requests on behalf of a supported employee in the Global Work Platform™. Please note that doing so will automatically approve the request.
