Female employees in the Republic of Turkiye are entitled to a total of 16 weeks of maternity leave, which is divided as follows:
If the female employee gives birth to twins or triplets, the 8-week period prior to birth extends to 10 weeks. Maternity leave can also be extended with a medical report, considering the female employee's health and the nature of her work, if necessary.
In the Republic of Turkiye, employees must provide a report from their doctor to be eligible for maternity leave.
