Other Benefits in Indonesia

What other statutory benefits are available in Indonesia, excluding health and pension benefits, bonuses, additional salaries, and allowances?

In Indonesia, employees are entitled to a statutory Religious Festivity Allowance (“THR”) as per the prevailing laws and regulations. This benefit is structured as follows:

  • Employees who have completed 12 months of service receive a Religious Holiday Allowance equivalent to at least 1 month's salary. This payment is made at least 7 days before the employee's religious holiday, such as Idul Fitri for Muslim employees or Christmas for Christian employees.

  • Employees with 3 to 12 months of continuous service are entitled to a pro-rated portion of the Religious Holiday Allowance, based on the number of months they have worked.

  • Employees with a service period of 1 month or more are eligible for the Religious Holiday Allowance. For those with less than 12 months of service, the allowance is calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Pebl’s employment agreements specify that the Religious Festivity Allowance is provided in accordance with these statutory requirements. The allowance amount is adjusted according to the employee's months of service during their first year.
