All business applications who intend to stay for more than 14 working days must include a detailed itinerary with a copy of their employment contract, clearly stating their tasks. A business visa allows you to travel to Ireland for up to 90 days for activities related to your job to attend meetings, negotiate or sign contracts, or work for 14 days or less.
If you intend to work in Ireland for 14 days or less, and you have been approved a business visa, you must request permission to work when you arrive at border control in Ireland. Make sure you bring your documents with you when you travel to Ireland, e.g., original work contract, sponsor’s invitation letter, etc. Your work must start and end within a single 14 day period.
If you intend to work in Ireland for less than 14 days and then leave Ireland and return to work in Ireland for another period, you must apply for permission to work via the Atypical Working Scheme and (if successful) apply for a short stay employment visa.
If you were granted a multiple entry visa you cannot work more than 14 days within 90 days. You must apply for permission to work via the Atypical Working Scheme and (if successful) apply for a short stay employment visa.
You cannot work in Ireland for more than 14 days on a business visa. If the tasks and activities you will be performing in Ireland relate to the tasks you normally perform in your job and you will be in Ireland for more than 14 days, you must apply for permission to work via the Atypical Working Scheme and (if successful) apply for a short stay employment visa. Therefore, if you are coming to Ireland to provide training, facilitate workshops, review work practices and projects, or a combination of these functions and this will take more than 14 days, then you cannot apply for business visa. You must apply for permission to work via the Atypical Working Scheme and (if successful) apply for a short stay employment visa.
The visa office will only issue business visas for a maximum of 14 days duration, except in exceptional circumstances.
You must submit a detailed itinerary with your application to the visa office. If this is not submitted, your visa application could be refused.
