Chile

Disability Insurance

Effective 1 April 2025, the Disability Insurance employer burden rate in Chile has increased to 1.78% from 1.38%.

Greece

Minimum Wage

Effective 1 April 2025, the minimum wage in Greece is set at EUR 880.00 per month for employees and EUR 39.30 per day for manual workers.

Luxembourg

Minimum Wage

Effective 1 May 2025, supported employees in Luxembourg will receive a statutory 2.5% salary increase. As part of this adjustment, the minimum wage has increased from EUR 944.43 to EUR 968.04.

Panama

Social Security Contribution

Effective 1 April 2025, under Panama's Law No. 462, the employer's Social Security contribution rate will increase to 13.25% from 12.25%. This rate will remain in effect until February 28, 2027.

Slovakia

Meal Allowance

Effective 1 April 2025, the employer contribution for the daily meal allowance in Slovakia will increase to EUR 3.63 from EUR 3.43.

Taiwan

National Holiday

Effective 28 May 2025, Taiwan has added new national holidays to its official calendar.

  • Teacher’s Day (Confucius Day) – September 28

  • Day Before Lunar New Year’s Eve – Two days before Lunar New Year (i.e., the second-to-last day of the 12th lunar month)

  • Taiwan Restoration Day – October 25

  • Constitution Day – December 25

United Kingdom

Minimum Wage

Effective 1 April 2025, the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage rates have increased. For individuals aged 18 to 20, the new rate is GBP 10 per hour, for those under 18 it is GBP 7.55 per hour, and apprentices will receive GBP 7.55 per hour. Meanwhile, individuals aged 21 and over will now earn a National Living Wage of GBP 12.21 per hour.

National Insurance Contribution

Effective 6 April 2025, the employer National Insurance Contribution (NIC) rate in the United Kingdom will increase to 15% from 13.8%. Additionally, the annual National Insurance threshold will decrease to GBP 5,000 from GBP 9,100.
