Full-time employees in Vietnam are entitled to 12 days of paid annual leave per calendar year. Additionally, employees receive 1 extra leave day for every next 5 years of service.
For part-time employees, the leave entitlement is outlined in the employment agreement.
In Vietnam, annual leave accrues on a monthly basis. If the length of service for a supported employee is less than a calendar year, the annual leave entitlement is pro-rated based on the number of complete months worked.
Vietnamese law does not specifically stipulate whether unused annual leave is forfeited or carried over. This policy can be determined and specified within the employment agreement.
