What other statutory benefits are available in Luxembourg, excluding health and pension benefits, bonuses, additional salaries, and allowances?
In Luxembourg, workers' compensation provides several statutory benefits:
- Medical Care: All medical care required for diseases or injuries sustained at work is covered.
- Temporary Disability: Workers with temporary disabilities receive 100% of their insured wages for a total of 52 weeks out of 104 weeks.
- Permanent Disability: Employees who suffer a permanent impairment that prevents them from working are entitled to receive 100% of their average monthly income from the 12 months prior to the accident, up until the age of 65.
- Partial Disability: Depending on the severity of their impairment, employees receive a reduced benefit for partial disability.
- Funeral Costs and Survivor's Benefits: These are also covered under workers' compensation.
A statutory meal benefit is also provided as EUR 10 per meal voucher for each day worked. It is important to note that this benefit is not applicable to all employees.
