Pension Benefits in Greece

What are the statutory pension benefits in Greece?

In Greece, employees are eligible for statutory pension benefits under e-EFKA. The conditions are as follows:

  • Eligibility for an old-age pension begins at age 67. The pension benefits depend on the length of coverage and the pensionable earnings.
  • A full pension is available at age 62, provided the employee has at least 40 years (12,000 days) of insurance.
  • A reduced pension is available at age 62 with at least 15 years (4,500 days) of insurance, as long as the statutory provisions of the incorporated fund in e-EFKA allow it and the relevant specific time requirements are met.
  • A full pension can also be accessed by age 67 with at least 15 years (4,500 days) of insurance.
