How is sick leave payment calculated in Singapore?

In Singapore, the calculation of sick leave payments is based on a daily salary rate. The formula to determine this is as follows:

  • Take the monthly basic salary and allowances.
  • Multiply by 12 (to annualize the amount).
  • Divide by 260 (the number of working days in a year).

The resulting figure is then applied to the number of paid sick leave days to calculate the total sick leave payment.
