What is the process and eligibility criteria for taking religion-related leave in Indonesia, and how is pay calculated?

In Indonesia, the process and eligibility criteria for taking religion-related leave for the Hajj pilgrimage through Pebl are as follows:

  • Eligibility: An employee must have been continuously employed with Pebl for at least 1 year to be eligible for leave to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.

  • Application Process: Employees must apply for the Hajj pilgrimage leave at least 10 weeks prior to their departure date. Supporting documentation confirming the necessary period for completing the pilgrimage must be presented.

  • Duration and Pay: Leave is granted with full pay for the duration necessary to complete the Hajj pilgrimage, based on the program taken by the employee. However, this period shall not exceed 40 calendar days.

  • Frequency: Employees may take fully paid leave for the Hajj pilgrimage only once during their employment with Pebl. For any additional pilgrimages, employees must use their annual leave entitlement or apply for unpaid leave if their annual leave is insufficient.

All expenses incurred for the Hajj pilgrimage are the responsibility of the employee.

What are the length, eligibility criteria, application rules, and pay calculation for marriage leave in Indonesia?

Per our Company Regulations, the following leaves are provided:

Length of Marriage Leave:

  • For the employee’s own marriage: 3 days, fully paid.
  • For the marriage of the employee’s child: 2 days, fully paid.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All supported employees of Pebl in Indonesia are eligible for marriage leave as specified above.

Application Rules:

  • Before taking temporary leave or being absent from work, the supported employee must obtain prior permission from Pebl.
  • In circumstances where requesting permission in advance is not possible, the supported employee should inform Pebl as soon as they are able to do so.

Pay Calculation:

  • Marriage leave is fully paid, meaning the supported employee will receive their regular wage during the leave period.
