Per Pebl's employment agreement template for Japan, an employee who is unable to report to work due to illness, injury, or other compelling reasons must promptly notify Pebl in advance, specifying the reasons and length of the absence. If prior written notice is not possible, the employee must inform Pebl orally and follow it up with a written notice.
For absences due to illness or injury lasting 2 consecutive days or more, the employee is required to submit a doctor's certificate along with the notice. The application for sick leave can be processed through our Global Work Platform™, similar to the usual Paid Time Off (PTO) application.
